News briefs concerning the art scene in Asia are presented. The exhibition "Modernity? Perspectives from France and Turkey," featuring works by such artists as Nevin Aladağ, Fikret Atay, and Kader Attia, is on view at the Istanbul Modern (IM) museum in Istanbul, Turkey, from January 16-May 16, 2013. The India Art Fair in Delhi, India, attracted 105 exhibitors from 24 countries. A student exchange agreement was signed between the art schools of the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and the University of Sydney, New South Wales. |
