General solutions of Maxwell's equations in cylindrical coordinates contain special solutions which satisfy the electromagnetic boundary conditions on toroidal surfaces. It is possible to choose the meridional cross section of these surfaces. The method of finding these special solutions is described in this paper. The results for E[sub φ] may be used for current-driving calculations and E[sub r], E[sub z] may be useful for heating investigation of tokamaks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
