Washington State's Lystedt Law in Concussion Documentation in Seattle Public High Schools.

Abstrakt: The article presents a study to analyze the effectiveness of the Washington State's Lystedt law, which requires that high school athletes suffering with concussion should not play until cleared by a medical professional. The study was conducted at Seattle public high schools, and all sports related injuries documented between 2008?2011 were analysed and concussion rate of 2.26 percent was observed from 2009-2011. It mentions that Lystedt law led to an increase in documented concussions.
