The article discusses a study that examined the status and distribution of odonates in various parts of Kerala, India. Topics discussed include the characteristics of the order Odonata which consists of dragonflies and damselflies, lack of variation in the odonate diversity, Libellulidae and Coenagrionidae as the two dominant families of odonates and threatened species including Heliogomphus promelas and Indothemis carnatica. |
