| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the installation of expanded polystyrene (EPS) geofoam for the berms and landscape of Maggie Daley Park in Chicago, Illinois. Topics discussed include the site preparation challenges of the park, the physical characteristics of geofoam which include weight, buoyancy, and compressive resistance, and the factors to consider prior to installation such as sizing, block placements, and wind protection. Samples of geofoam installations are also discussed. |
