Abstrakt: | The article discusses a court case between Memphis, Tennessee Officer Vance Plumhoff vs. car driver Donald Rickard regarding the issue whether there is a failure on the part of the court of appeals to conduct a proper qualified immunity analysis. The entitlement given to law enforcement officers to be qualified for immunity from suits alleging constitutional violations is mentioned. The denial of the lower courts to the immunity claim of the officers is explained. |
