The article focuses on the survey conducted by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health on 1,200 farms across 16 states in the U.S., to identify the number and size of manure storage and handling facilities in farms. It mentions the effectiveness of educational programs to impart education related to the importance of manure and designing of manure pit ventilation systems. It also discusses the safety and health issues related to manure storage. |
