Abstrakt: The article presents a study that assesses the efficacy of F-fluorodexyglucose (FDG) PET-CT scanning in evaluating patients who have undergone stereotatic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for treating early-stage lung cancer. Evaluation was based on the sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values for FDG PET-CT scan. It showed that an FDG PET-CT scan introduced 3 months after SBRT was not useful in detecting recurrence or failure of treatment.
