Abstrakt: The authors reflect on arthroscopy for treating degenerative musculoskeletal diseases in the knee. They discuss the results of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of arthroscopic surgery for osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee by J. B. Moseley and colleagues, whether similar results from like studies has resulted in a reversal of clinical practice, and a report within the issue on a study by J. B. Thorlund and colleagues that found an increased incidence of arthroscopic meniscus surgery.
