Compares the effect of physiological increments and decrements in glucagon on net hepatic glucose uptake (NHGU), glycogen synthase activity and net hepatic glycogen synthesis in vivo. Reduction of NHGU and glycogen synthase activation by an elevation in glucagon; Reduction of glycogen deposition from elevated glucagon levels. |
