Abstrakt: Examines the topological requirements of histone octamers and DNA topoisomerase I, two proteins which contribute to the structure of chromatin. Positive and consistent response of both proteins to DNA supercoiling and curvature and the spatial accessibility of the preferential interaction sites; Suggestion of a topology-based correlation among these proteins.
