Abstrakt: In order to investigate the magnetic coupled performance of brushless doubly-fed machines (BDFM), a magnetic barrier rotor structure of BDFM with simple structure and good performance is proposed. A 6/2 poles numbers and rated power 5 kW brushless-fed reluctance machine with magnetic barrier rotor was designed by ansoft software. The characteristic of operation for BDFM with magnetic barrier rotor was analyzed. On these bases, the open-loop experiment of variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) for BDFG with magnetic barrier rotor was realized. The theoretical analysis and experimental study show that the performance of BDFM with reluctance rotor can be effectively improved by adding magnetic barrier properly in the rotor core, and the machine can keep the same advantages of simple structure and low cost as that of the normal reluctance rotor.
