The article discusses a research on gene expression and characterization of β-defensin 3 antisense DNA (cDNA) from the common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) to examine its role in mucosal immunity of common carp. Topics include cyanobacterium analysis, messenger RNA (mRNA) regulation, and bacterial challenge faced by the researchers. The results indicate that β-defensin 3 plays an important role in the innate and mucosal immunity of common carp. |
