Liquid crystal (LC) drop mura in one drop fill (ODF) process for high resolution panel is discussed. In this paper, we investigated the origin of LC drop mura from aspects of LC materiasl, color filter (CF) structures and ODF process. According to our experiments, it indicated that lower free energy of LC, higher photo spacer density (PSD) and photo spacer height (PSH)of CF could reduce the ratio and degree of LC drop mura effectively. When producing high resolution mobile TFT-LCDs LC with low free energy and CF with high PSD&PSH should be prior used to improve the yield. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
