| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study which aims to analyse the risk factors and prevalence of chronic venous disease and varicose veins in Budapest, Hungary. Verified risk factors include excess body weight, blue-collar work, jobs needing a lot of sanding, pregnancy and advancing age. The study shows that neither female gender nor hormone replacement therapy or the use of oral contraceptives was distinguished as a contributing factor. |
