An energy-saving algorithm of control of electric drives of pumps in the cold water-supply system of buildings.

Abstrakt: A water-supply plan of multistory buildings is presented, and the characteristics of the system of water delivery to a consumer are given. Based on analysis of the pressure-metering characteristics, the excess of pressure in the cold-water-supply system is shown compared to what is required depending on water consumption and pressure in the municipal water works. Alongside conserving energy, it is the main argument in favor of application of the variable-frequency electric drive of the pressure pumps. A block diagram of the closed circuit of pressure regulation is represented, and recommendations on adjustment of the regulator are given. Based on analysis of the daily diagrams of pressure and water consumption, an improved algorithm of regulation of the rotation frequency of a cold-water-supply-system pump is proposed with adjustment by water consumption.
