Determination of the efficiency of the organism gene expression is a topical and important problem of modern biology. Microorganisms that parasitize on human and domestic animals are of special interest. In the study, bioinformatic analysis of genomes of 62 bacteria strains belonging to the Mycoplasma genus was carried out. It was demonstrated that the efficiency of gene translation in these organisms depends on the amount of potential secondary structures in them and does not depend on the codon composition. The species with a decreased content of local inverted repeats in the genes were found. Analysis of phylogeny demonstrated a possible association between this peculiarity and the habitat of these organisms. The high concentration of local inverted repeats near the start-codon of translation in the M. haemofelis genes (not typical to other Mycoplasmas) was detected. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
