The article provides information on a U.S. study of arthropod-borne viruses from mosquitoes and ticks. Topics discussed include the West Nile virus (WNV), data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on reported cases of the viral diseases, and WNV as the most prevalent type of arboviral diseases in the U.S. Also reported is the incidence of West Nile virus neuroinvasive disease by state in the U.S. in 2013. |
