Abstrakt: The article discusses the significance of educating the police and other professionals in the criminal justice system about fetal alcohol syndrome disorders (FASD) to identify offenders diagnosed or suspected of having the condition. Incarcerated individuals struggling with FASD may have higher risk for recidivism after being released into the community. Educating law enforcers in early identification of FASD is important in diagnosis and treatments to prevent further criminal activity.
