We demonstrate vibrometry using a chromatic confocal sensor which measures displacements with 0.1 ??m resolution at a rate of 10 kHz. This technique was used to study the vibration of a musical tuning fork with a resonance at 523 Hz. Other examples presented include vibration of water waves and multiple point vibrometry of a vibrating steel rod. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
