Abstrakt:	The article discusses interests and relations between the Philippines and U.S. in 2014, with close ties maintained since U.S. colonial period through bilateral security alliance under Mutual Defense Treaty of 1951, and common strategic and economic interests. It discusses Philippines receiving U.S. foreign assistance including military and development aid, bilateral relationship improved by U.S. public and private support after Typhoon Yolanda or Haiyan, and security cooperation.
