The article presents the April 2014 U.S. Congressional Research Service study "Kuwait: Security, Reform and U.S. Policy" by Kenneth Katzman. Topics discussed include political condition in Kuwait in 2006-2013, condition of Kuwait's relationship with the U.S. and significance of Kuwait's role in U.S. efforts to secure the Persian Gulf. Also discussed are the human rights issues prevalent in Kuwait, impact of the 2011 Arab uprisings on Kuwait and economic condition of the country as of 2014. |
