The article examines the serum levels of adiponectin and leptin in patients with sulfur mustard (SM) lung leading to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It discusses the proinflammatory effects of adiponectin in airway inflammation and considers the role of adiponectin and leptin in SM poisoning lung complications. It also mentions the role of systemic inflammation in mustard lung patients and its difference in mean adiponectic and leptin levels. |
