The article focuses on the strategic alignment approach to the implementation of information technology at manufacturing organizations in the U.S. Considerable pressure is placed on most organizations to make their operational, tactical and strategic processes more efficient and effective. The execution of IT is critically dependent on the business or the sector on which It is used. On the other hand, an evolutionary process is suggested to enhance the strategic role of the manufacturing information system. |
