Abstrakt: Focuses on the goal of moral education to realize there is no distinct self and to realize that so-called diverse desires do not affect the self. Ways in which the notion of self in the Vedanta tradition of India differs from the American notion; Arjuna's crisis as presented in the `Bhagavadgita' as the focal point for explicating the Vedantin conception of the self.
