| Abstrakt: |
A report on the U.S. government's funding and oversight on embryonic stem cell research is presented. The policies introduced during the administration of presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush is discussed. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) research funding and stem cell registry is explored. The laws restricting stem cell research is discussed. Some alternative sources for human embryonic stem cells are also examined. |
