The article describes the case of the development of marimba pedagogy at Thornhill School which is a private primary school in Botswana. It discusses the afternoon marimba ensemble pedagogy which is part of the extra-curricular programme that involves two groups of pre-auditioned talented musicians. It mentions the aim of the case study, the spread of Zimbabwe Marimba tradition into Botswana, and the impact of the marimba pedagogy on Thornhill School and its learners. |
