The article presents the opinion of the author on severance payments for executives. The author contends that severance should be considered neither good nor bad simply based on its application to executives or regular employees. He asserts that severance payments are most commonly the result of an executive remaining loyal to a company for an extended period of time and being rewarded, monetarily, for their efforts. He also addresses some of the most prevalent misunderstandings over severance. |
