The article presents a study which investigated the factors associated with disease damage among lupus nephritis (LN) patients in Malaysia. The researchers reviewed the medical records of LN patients who attended regular follow-up for at least one year in the Nephrology/SLE Clinic, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC). They found that 40% of LN patients had disease damage which was associated with age, longer disease duration and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). |
