Abstrakt: The article offers information for athlete trainers and therapists on understanding biomechanics of amputee runners and utilizing it in prevention of injuries for those amputee athletes. Topics discussed include difference in movement pattern of able-bodied sprinters and amputee runners used for running, utilization of prosthetic sprinting legs by amputee runners and injuries caused by prosthesis. It discusses use of variable wearing devices for prevention of injuries in amputee runners.
