Abstrakt: The importance of tuberculosis (TB) occur on the fact that this disease is the mainspring of death in women all over the world. The increasing of the population number, the epidemic with HIV, raising of poverty and increasing drug resistance will affect the disease in female gender, because this group population is at risk of progression of the disease in the fertile years. The purpose of the article is to review the literature concerning the contraceptive methods that are used to avoid pregnancies at women with tuberculosis infection, the main subjects being the social, economic and medical factors that are blocking the access to medical care, also the implications and the negative effects of the disease in pregnancy and post-partum period. Postponing pregnancies at this type of patients is important because of the serious consequences of the infection during pregnancy, delivery and post-partum. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
