| Abstrakt: | The article discusses political ties and tax exemptions among families of the Brianza hills region near Milan, Italy in the 14th and 15th centuries. Topics discussed include relations between the Visconti family dynasty of Milan and families of the northern countryside of Milan during this period, political identity in the Brianza region resulting from the tax exemptions granted by the Visconti family to residents, and the unity of these families known as Ghibellini. |
