Abstrakt: | The article features Nissim Ezekiel, a poet, a teacher and who became editor of the publication "Indian PEN." It states that most of his poems show a certain elegance and mental agility and his poems written in 1980s show sharp wit, sophisticated irony and a brilliant quality of mind. He is said to be one of the most studied and criticized Indian poet in English and is considered to have started the post-independence school of Modern Indian poetry in English. |
