Abstrakt: Given to the significant role of enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in the current organizations, several studies have been accomplished regarding these systems. Indeed, implementation of this system is a highly complex process and several aspects such as human factors should be considered to increase the success of implementation. In this study, one of the most significant human factors issues i.e. competency of the project team is taken into account. Having a skillful ERP implementation team has a big impact on the success of system. However, far few studies have focused on this issue. In this study, based on a poll from the experts, a model is developed to determine and measure required technical, human and conceptual skills of those involved in ERP implementation. Through this model, the desirable amount¹ and existing amount2 of skills of each of project team members can be measured. Then in order to determine skill shortages, the difference between these two amounts in each category (i.e. technical, human and conceptual skills) is examined. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
