The article focuses on the fiduciary duties of contractors under cost-plus contracts in the U.S. It discusses the fiduciary and confidential types of relationships between a contractor and residential owner, an American Institute of Architects (AIA) document that serves as basis for cost-plus contracts and the duty of contractors to maintain accurate records. Several court cases involving the fiduciary duties of contractors are also examined. |
