Abstrakt:	The article reports on the history of the U.S.-Bahrain security and foreign policy relations. It highlights the role played by defense and security issues in the relations between the two countries. It discusses the cornerstone of U.S.-Bahrain defense relations, the 1991 Defense Cooperation Agreement, U.S. arms transfers and military aid, anti-terrorism cooperation, and Bahrain's relations with and cooperation against Iran.
