Abstrakt: The article discusses the anthropological revival of history. Anthropology has been historicized because it has reevaluated the relevance of the difference between past and present as well as present and future. Furthermore, the discipline has viewed these differences as both epistemic and existential watershed. Given the current worldwide attention to nationalism, ethnicism, and regionalism, history has been thrust to the foreground of collective awareness. Anthropology has showed more sensitivity to all that might be regarded as history.
