Presents a study of hepatocyte nuclear factor-1alpha (HNF-1alpha) genetic mutations in Japanese subjects with early-onset type 2 diabetes. HNF-1alpha as the cause of one form of maturity-onset diabetes of the young; Suggestion that a263fsinsGG mutations in HNF-1beta gene might be associated with diabetes and renal dysfunction. |
