The article discusses how a conservative, rural community in Kansas implemented strategies to increase access to contraceptives for youth. The Kansas Health Foundation, in line with its mission to improve the quality of health in Kansas, funded 3 communities to replicate a comprehensive community-wide project to prevent teenage pregnancy first conducted in South Carolina. The project aims to increase the use of contraceptives among teenagers who choose to be sexually active. Contraceptive mapping was conducted to identify the organizations within the county that offered various types of contraceptives. |
