Abstrakt:	The author highlights the open pages of history of the Great Patriotic War within Kazakhstan. This article covers the regional aspect of GULAG-GUPVI camp system activity, shows the history of prisoner of war camps establishment, their location and war prisoners' contribution in restoration of the industry and construction of new strategic facilities within the studied territory.
