The article offers the authors' insight on the religious history and diasporic condition discussed by author M. G. Vassanji on his book "The Magic of Saida." They mention that the book explores the diasporic condition of Ismailia community in Africa and features the story of the narrator named Kamal, who is an African immigrant with an Indian wife who is haunted by his slipping past. They explore the use by Vassanji to personal stories of Islamic characters and their activities. |
