Abstrakt: The article focuses on the benefits and shortcomings of high cost lending and relevance of cap interest on certain types of consumer loans. It discusses the views of public and various scholars regarding the interest rates on the consumer credit products. It further reports the data showing the consumer attitude towards the interest rate caps present on certain types of high rate loans like payday loans and title loans.
