Abstrakt: The article discusses the Bangkok Treaty of 1995, which declares Southeast Asia a nuclear weapon-free zone (NWFZ). The author focuses on the reasons why the P5 - the world powers the U.S. , China, Russia, Great Britain and France have not signed the agreement, including on the 20th and 21st session of the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) in January 2012 and November 2012; and on the ministerial meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in July 2012.
