The article discusses clinical information and management of intestinal malrotation and midgut volvulus in infants. Intestinal malrotation is said to be caused by abnormal bowel rotation and fixation sequence. Due to high morbidity and mortality risks associated with midgut volvulus, urgent surgical intervention is advised. Brief details concerning its clinical diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment are also presented. |
