Abstrakt:	The article discusses several issues that plaintiffs and defense lawyers face in settling an aviation accident case in the U.S. and offers tips for both parties to resolve a case through mediation. It states that a settlement can resolve a case quickly compared with a trial, however the goals of both parties are important in determining settlement. It explores settlement with numerous defendants and plaintiffs, the terms and conditions of a settlement, and tax considerations.
