In this letter, uniform NaTaO3 microcube films were synthesized on tantalum foils by a facile low temperature hydrothermal method. The capacitance characteristic of the film was demonstrated by Mott–Schottky measurement. Then, ultraviolet (UV) detector based on NaTaO3 film was fabricated with Ag electrodes. At 5 V reverse bias, the current was 20.2 nA under the irradiation of 260-nm UV light, which is 13 times larger than that under dark condition (1.5 nA). The displacement current was observed in the device due to large capacitance existing between Ag electrodes and NaTaO3 film. The devices show a rise time of 4.6 s and a decay time of 15.4 s. These studies suggest the potential application of NaTaO3 film in fabricating UV detectors with low power dissipation. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
