Abstrakt: | A biography of scholar Fritz Bamberger is presented. He was born on January 7, 1902 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and studied philosophy and literature at the University of Berlin. He was also involved in the Liberal Jewish academic institution the Hochschule für die Wissenschaft des Judentums. He emigrated to the U.S. and began teaching at the College of Jewish Studies in Chicago in 1940. He later became involved with the Leo Baeck Institute (LBI) in New York City. |
