Accessibility of natural areas contrary to their legal protection raises debates in the professional and public communities. In the Czech Republic, this has represented a topical issue in recent years, when the relevance of some of the national parks is essentially discussed but also in some respects improperly questioned. Participants to these discussions, however often forget the international obligations of the Czech Republic in the Man and Biosphere Program. The questioned territories not only have the status of national nature conservation but also the UNESCO biosphere reserves, through which their global uniqueness was internationally recognized. This study provides a framework description of the attendance development at selected nature reserves in the Czech Republic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
