Abstrakt: The article shows how business statesmanship along with strategic selling delivered success for Hartford Electric Light Co. It looks back to 1922 when the company made three decisions after its experience during the depression in 1921. Instances are highlighted that demonstrated the company's philosophy of ingenuity and long-term planning such as its promotion of electric range of appliances. The quality customer service provided by the company at the lowest possible cost is described.
