The article presents two case studies of young boys with desquamating skin. In the first case, Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), marked by bleeding dermis in pulled skin, and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are life-threatening mucocutaneous diseases that require early diagnosis, causative drug stoppage, and wound care. In the second case, staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS), marked by skin exfoliation, is derived from toxins and requires hospitalization and parenteral antibiotics. |
